ZOgreberry is an F1 hybrid of our Ogreberry Auto crossed with our Whipped Strawberries Auto. While it is rare that we cross two autoflowering varieties together, it is done with intention. And in this case the results speak for themselves.

Ogreberry was a clear standout during the initial Autoflower conversion process in 2020-2021, making low PVI offspring that resembled the photoperiod parent strain through each generation. I still remember a friend of ours from Happy Day Farms in Mendo, who still grows Ogreberry photoperiod, remarking how spot on our Ogreberry Auto was to the photoperiod.  We have been waiting for an opportunity to renew the Ogreberry Auto and the Whipped Strawberries Auto was the right choice to make it happen.

Whipped Strawberries Auto comes from a passion project photoperiod hunt intended on finding a cultivar to carry on the legacy of our Sour StrawburieD (affectionately referred to as “Sour Strawberry” in close circles).  The seeds were from Sour StrawburieD (keeper cut) x Fruit-Whip! (a fruity cut from a hunt of The Whip!). The hunt was a great success and the winning cut (#21) garnered a cult-like following in the hills of Mendocino for her own merits, not just being the progeny of Sour StrawburieD.  Our friends at Happy Day Farms, who are always massively helpful and love a good strain name, were given the naming rights. Through this rite of passage Whipped Strawberries was officially born.  There was only one winner from that hunt, making Whipped Strawberries (#21) a clone only strain . . . and a great selection for Autoflower conversion.  Throughout the next five generations we selected for traits most similar to #21’s, to produce autoflowers that make sandy trichomes which smell like . . . well . . . whipped strawberries.

The marriage between Ogreberry Auto and Whipped Strawberries Auto is an absolute match-maker’s match.  The terps are mind-boggling on this one.
